Meet Leah
Coloratura soprano Leah Brzyski is quickly establishing herself as a noteworthy performer throughout the United States. She made her Santa Fe Opera debut in 2021, originating the role of Agave in Adamo/Corigliano’s Lord of Cries and covering the role of Tytania (A Midsummer Night’s Dream). She then returned to Minnesota Opera’s Resident Artist Program as Frasquita (Carmen) and Jeannette (The Anonymous Lover), a role in which she was proud to “soar vocally and steal scenes” (StarTribune). Attracting praise for her versatility, Ms. Brzyski is a passionate performer of contemporary music, regularly collaborating with Pulitzer Prize nominated composer Ricardo Zohn-Muldoon, in collaborations with international organizations and ensembles like the VIPA Festival (Valencia,Spain) and the Cygnus Ensemble. Fluent in Spanish, Ms. Brzyski made her international debut as a soloist at the Callejón del Ruido Festival in Guanajuato, Mexico. In the 2022/23 season, she sings Miss Wordsworth (Albert Herring) with The Princeton Festival, Agave (Lord of Cries) with Odyssey Opera, Zerlina (Don Giovanni) with Minnesota Opera, and Elvira (L’Italiana in Algeri) with Opera Theater of Connecticut.
